Tourist Electronic Visa


Citizens of Austria and Slovenia can obtain a tourist electronic visa on the official website of the ministry of Interior.

Procedure:

  • The visa fees of 3 Kuwaiti Dinars are payable upon arrival to the entry port.
  •  The validity of the passport must exceed six months when applying for e-Visa.
  • Temporary Travel Documents holders in all its kinds are not permitted to use this system.
  • The applicant must not have any security restrictions that prevent him from entering or exiting the country.
  • In case of any differences between information provided in the application form and the original documents, the granted e-Visa will be considered invalid and its holder will not be allowed to enter the country.
  • A tourist visa is valid to enter Kuwait state within a month from its issuance for a single entry.
  • A tourist visa allows its holder a temporary stay for a maximum of 3 months starting from the entry date, therefore he must leave the country before its expiration. The tourist visa holder is not allowed to work in the country and in case he/she is caught they will be subjected to the legal accountability.
  • The Visitor who overstays the permitted period will be subject to penalties and fines and might be denied a visa issuance in the future.
  • The visa applications will be processed during the official working days of the State of Kuwait.
  • You will be informed via your email once your tourist e-Visa application has been approved or declined.

 

Entry visa


To grant an entry visa for Kuwait we ask Austrian and Slovenian nationals to submit the following documents to the Consular Section:

  • Passport with a minimum of six-month validity.
  • One application form completed and signed by the applicant Click here!
  • One passport size photograph. 
  • A fee of 50,-EUR.
  • If you are unable to appear in person to collect your passport, we need for the return of the passport a stamped, self-addressed envelope (registered mail).
  • Further, we need a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) in original, issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior. A person who lives in Kuwait can only request this document for you. Alternatively, an invitation from the company / representation in Kuwait.
  • For foreigners (not Austrian or Slovenian nationals) a copy of the permit is also needed. 
  • Entry visa is valid for three months from the date of issue and ONE MONTH duration of stay.

Diplomat/Special Passport Visa


  • Diplomat or Special passport with a minimum of six month validity
  • One application form completed and signed by the applicant Click here!
  • One passport size photograph.
  • Original diplomatic note, describing the nature of work and length of stay in Kuwait.
  • This Visa is valid for ONE MONTH duration of stay.
  • You will be contacted once the passport is ready for pick up.

Employment Visa / Family to follow Visa


  • Austrian or Slovenian Passport with a minimum of six months validity.
  • One application form completed and signed by the applicant Click here!
  • One passport size photograph.
  • "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) in original, issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, which will be sent to applicant from employer in Kuwait prior to applying for a visa.
  • All applicants working in Kuwait must have a Complete Physical Examination for Contagious and Disabling Disease:

      (HIV virus and Viral Hepatitis B and C (copy of the laboratory test must be attached)).

      Original Medical clearance has to be stamped by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • Police Clearance Certificate Required from your local police station must be obtained:
